Work has been really overwhelming. Of course amongst all the pressure and stress, I am happy to see that some things are changing for the better - Must always see the other side of the coin mah...
As much as I would love to complete all my tasks on time, I am starting to feel that it is eating too much into my personal time. Leaving office before 6.30pm is definitely a bonus but is really hard to come by. So much about work-life balance. I haven't been hitting the gym during weekdays, since I am physically and mentally drained by the time I leave office.
I will always remember this line that my Ex-boss, COL(NS) Tan Wee Ngee once said during our workplan seminar:
I love my work so much that I have to leave some for tomorrow.
Well, he is very pro work-life balance. While he is very serious about his work, he makes an effort to leave on time to company his family. Of course, there are times when he work late too, but not all the time.
So now, I think I seriously need to reorganise my time, so that I can be happier :) Yup, I shall adopt my ex-boss work philosophy. My health and mental wellness is definitely more important than work. Must always walk the talk, else how can I work towards our organisation's new vision of "
Building a Nation of Healthy and Happy People", right?
