When I went to terminate my line the other day, the counter staff actually asked me for a reason for doing this and my response to him was, "I deserve better!"

No, I am not going to ditch my Starhub line for M1's, but more of the complete opposite!

Yeah, my 2 year contract with M1 is finally up!

I must they that they are indeed "Brighter". Charging users with service plans $69.30 for unlimited data usage, when their mobile Broadband is charging $19.36 for unlimited data. So they wouldn't link my M1 Broadband with a service plan, even though the technology allows this to be done.

Both SingTel and Starhub allow this! SingTel is charging $22.42 for 50GB data usage and Starhub is charging at $38.72 for unlimited data usage.

Yes, I deserve better! So, I am ditching the "Brighter" one for Sparky! :)

Have you caught the "You Deserve Better" ad by M1? Did you notice about the red and green striped tie worn by those three chaps? They are trying to tell us that M1 cares about your comments compared to the red (SingTel) and green (StarHub) coloured ones.

The reality? My foot.

Personal experience 1:

When I first had my mobile phone, I was with M1. Each month, my bill amounted to near $100. After I switched to Starhub, my bill went down by more than 60%. Similar usage.

Personal experience 2:

When they first started with M1 Broadband (M1BB for short), users have to be tied down with a 2-years contract for the 3G modem. Now, they offer users free equipment loans.

Being an earlier adopter of M1BB, I am currently tied down by a 2-years contract for the equipment. When they introduced the free loans, I went back to them to check if I can be freed from my 2-years contact or to be allowed to purchase a phone at the price of a 2-years plan. The answer was NO and still NO when I tried my luck again.

So You do think M1 is better? Think again.

To M1: Don't bitch about others when you can't do it well yourself. Period.
